Stayed at the Best Western in downtown Key West over New Year's. Loved the location: walking distance from beaches, tourist attractions, nightlife and shops. Banana Bay "resort" is in an ideal location, in Marathon in the Middle Keys. Walking distance from shops and necessities; an easy drive from lovely municipal beaches, a short hop to Bahia Honda State Park, and an hour or so (depending on traffic) to Key West.
