This is a small museum, but none the less a good one. We were lucky to be in town to see the "Paris Moderne" exhibition that was very good indeed. The permanent holdings looked a little dull by comparison, but a small museum such as this cannot afford big master pieces. If a show that takes your intrest is on... more

I appreciated the return of the Bass Museum to South Florida. I appreciated its beautiful Italian Renaissance paintings by Sandro Botticelli,Domenico Ghirlandaio,and Mazzone. I also appreciated its fine Netherlandish paintings by Cornelius Van Haarlem,Bol,Jordaens,and Rubens. I wish that the Bass Museum would display their fine nineteenth century paintings to the public.
