Having been to several botanical gardens, public gardens and greenhouses in the US and abroad I can say that the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden is one of the best in the country! I have been to a few botanical gardens before I have to say I enjoyed this one more than the others. Although the collection might not be as extensive as say Longwood Gardens it makes up for it in the quality of the exhibits and over all disposition of the grounds. My husband and I visited the Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden on Saturday, March 31, 2007. The cherry blossoms were beautiful as were the redbud trees, tulips, daffodils, etc. Inside the Conservatory, the orchids were gorgeous as was the room with the cottage. See attached photos.
