This is a great hotel. It is quite expensive and I used points to stay here so I cannot comment on the value for the price. From my perspective, the rooms were excellent. My room was very spacious and the bathroom was huge with both a shower and a jacuzzi tub. It looked like the hotel was brand new or... more

This was an expensive hotel and we had booked 2 nights (3 days) here in the middle of a Cook Islands and Fiji holiday to celebrate a big birthday for me. We arrived very early in the morning at the airport and the chauffeur driven car (arranged by my husband as a surprise) from the Hilton was waiting for us... more

The location is excellent right at the heart of the waterside. Lots of restaurants ,bars and ferries to the islands. The public rooms are a bit soulless which is due to the design of the hotel, but this is more than made up by the view from the windows. Door staff were helpful and friendly ( especially William), booking in... more

This hotel has a very nice location in the harbour. It is a small hotel and does not feel like a Hilton. It has a sort of modern and minimalistic design. Mostly white, gray and metal. We stayed in a Bow suite with an excellent view and a big balcony. If it is cold and raining though You can´t use... more

I know that it is for practical reasons that all of the bed linen in hotel rooms is white but it can feel quite clinical, especially when you’re escaping for a romantic ‘getaway’. Big hotel chains are more about providing service than charm. In the purely practical sense Hilton did a fabulous job. They are great at the small stuff... more

Hilton Hotel, Auckland, New Zealand. Reviewer : Tripadvisor member, Brisbane , Australia. Stayed at this hotel for two nights in August 2008. This hotel is vastly overrated. Our "super deluxed" room had a huge round pillar right in the middle of the viewing area. Excluding the small outdoor balcony, which could not be used because of driving rain and cold... more

This hotel is situated in a great location, on the harbour and yards away from the marina and the city centre. Pretty much everything in central Auckland is at walking distance. The room I had was large, modern, luxurious, with a wonderful balcony and a fantastic view. The common areas are well-maintained and architecturally attractive. Service is spot on. The... more

The Good: The location of the hotel is excellent, it is within walking distance to the Viaduct Basin, good restaurants and the SkyCity Casino. The Deluxe room were were in was very large, had a great view of the harbor and was well furnished, including flat screen TV's. The Average: The service at the hotel leaves something to be desired;... more

Thank you for taking the time to write the review, it is important for the hotel to receive constructive feedback from our guest. It is correct many of the overseas flights to Auckland do arrive in the early hours of the morning, particularly out of the USA. Whilst the hotel makes every effort to accommodate 'early arrivals' subject to room...

We stayed in the Hilton for 6 nights mid-July. We had two rooms with an interconnecting door. Not cheap per night, but the best in Auckland. Location is great, the best in Auckland. Make sure you book a room with harbour view; it’s a bit more expensive but absolutely worthwhile. The view is superb; okay, sometimes a cruise ship will... more

Yes its Pretentious, but its a generally good hotel standard in a great location. Breakfast when the weather is good on the terrace overlooking Auckland Harbour is fantasic. Negative: Sometimes you will have a large cruise ship moor up next to the hotel which can be a shock when you wake up in the morning, draw back the curtains to... more

The cruise ships do moore along side the hotel on Princes Wharf. This is very beneficial for passengers either joining or departing a cruise as the passenger terminal is part of the hotel, therefore is provides easy access for pre and post stays. The majority of cruise ships only stay for the day arriving in the morning and depart the...
