It was a pretty nice hotel that we visited. Very nice view, very clean room, very delicious breakfast, very gentle people. Everything was perfect! more

Stayed at the Intercontinental Budapest for 3 nights on business. Hotel is not very nice to look at, and laid out in a slightly odd way I thought. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful at all times, which made for a pleasant stay. Bathrooms are tiny and functional rather than luxurious, and the rooms themselves were ok, again without... more

Don't bring your cat because the bathroom is not big enough to swing it in. The bathroom was tiny but adequately furnished. On the positve side it had one of the strongest power showers I have experienced in any hotel. We upgraded to an upper room with a great view of the river and castle. The room was nicely appointed,... more

For our early-autumn trip to the delightful city of Budapest, we pushed the boat out a little by going more up-market than usual. We stayed at the Intercontinental, which was more expensive than our normal choice of hotel, but utterly memorable. It has a brilliant look-out across both the Danube and the old town of Buda - an ideal starting... more

The InterContinental Budapest has an ideal location! The hotel is as close as you can get to staying on the banks of the Danube and has the best Danube/Castle/Chain Bridge/Buda view available. The hotel is directly adjacent to the tram. You can purchase tram tickets from the business/travel center in the hotel lobby. You can take the tram along the... more

we were staying somewhere else in Budapest because this place is amazing but pricey, but after doing some research we guessed this would be the best place to watch the Aug 20th fireworks and the red bull race from and booked a castle view room 2 months before we arrived (much to their surprise). we walked into the lovely room... more

We stayed here for 5 nights recently as part of a Danube river cruise package. We were very happy with the location and the room. We could walk to almost any destination from here and for the few places we couldn't reach we used the Hop on Hop off bus with its ticket booth right outside the hotel door. I... more

The location is very central and if you have a river facing room, the view is incredible, especially at night. The hotel is the standard Intercontinental - very nice but nothing unique. The Four Seasons across the circle is a spectacular, historic hotel but is far more expensive than the Intercontinental and is without the views and has smaller rooms. more

We spent five memorable nights in Budapest in this wonderful hotel & thought it can't get better than this, surely? The Hotel is located overlooking the Danube & Buda Castle so beg, borrow or steal & make sure your room is overlooking these. An upgrade would be most appropriate since the breakfast is a wonderful repast as well. The rooms... more
