My absolute favorite hotel in Miami I frequently visit Miami and had the chance to stay in several hotels. Having spent 30 nights there over the course of the past 3 years, the Mandarin is my favorite. The main drawback as most people familiar with Miami know is that the hotel does not have a real beach. Also, the pool... more

I'd give this hotel four and a half points if half points were possible!. I've subtracted half a point merely because the hotel is expensive, and you will need to get a cab whenever you want to go out to the shops or bars (south beach is around 20 minutes drive). BUT if you're happy to relax in the hotel... more

We just completed a seven night stay at the Mandarin in Miami. Overall we were pleased with the stay but felt the hotel did not live up to our expectation of service from a Mandarin. Noone ever addressed us by name. I thought that was a signature for Mandarin. The service is definitely on the cold side except for the... more

I recently stayed 4 nights at the Mandarin Oriental in Miami and to be honest I’m glad it was only 4 nights. True the hotel is a spectacular building in a fabulous location however the moment you enter you can’t help but feel that something is missing. The entrance lobby is has floor to ceiling glazing which offers fantastic views... more

Just back from 4 nights in Miami staying at the Mandarin. This is a great hotel if you want to have excellent service, large rooms, luxury amenities and don't mind driving 20min to where there is more action. The concierge was able to ensure access to the "happening" hotel bars in South Beach so no need to stay at a... more

I booked (what I thought) was a good internet rate direct with the hotel online at $200 a night. When I checked out 3 nights later, the bill for food, spa and the fixed 18% gratuity cost me over DOUBLE of what my room cost! The staff did try their best, but I don't think their service warranted the 18%... more

If you are traveling on business this is a great hotel; but for those of us wanting to get away for a long weekend in Miami go to South Beach. The hotel is very nice. However it is a bit of a bait and switch. The rates are great, but once you get here the drink/food (and cabs...because it is... more

The Mandarin has the reputation of having the best service in Miami, but it's still a shocker! Quite a nice hotel - we liked our room, and the bay view, although hearing the noisy hotel guests next door was not a pleasure. Obviously the Mandarin needs to sound proof it's rooms, as should most hotels. Service around the pool is... more

We had a very relaxing stay at the Mandarin Oriental Miami, the Front Office staff was lovely and the service excellent. The room was simply perfect, relaxing like a spa-suite and had a gorgeous view. The only thing I could complain about was the service at the pool and the beach. That was absolutely not what I know as the... more

Just returned from a 3 night stay at the MO. After research of many hotels in Miami, I decided on spending my time here. reason I chose this hotel was the following: 1) I wanted to be relaxed 2) Needed a quiet secluded hotel 3) Also needed amazing views from my room All three of the above were achieved at... more
