I booked this B & B on the reviews on this site but I was disappointed. The house was dressed beautifully for Christmas and Stan was helpful with information. The rooms were tired, lacked any extras and appeared to need some loving and cleaning. The ability to make or obtain a hot drink during the day or evening would have... more

We just returned from the Hampton Terrace and we thourougly enjoyed it. Stan, our innkeeper, was very laid-back, helping us find the perfect restaurant (The Old Mill- WONDERFUL), telling us about his family, even recommending a book about the Red Sox to us (my husband is a serious fan!) We stayed in Room #6 in the Carriage House, located behind... more

We have stayed at the Hampton Terrace twice and it was excellent both times. From the moment we crossed the threshold we entered a cozy warm home environment with superb furnishings and very congenial management. There is a grand piano and a working bar for guests use. They have a local directory with best picks for food cultural entertainment and... more

This was our second time at The Hampton Terrace for our anniversary getaway weekend and it was great. Easy to get to, good location, and great restaurants (although I wouldn't go back to The Prime Italian Steak House, lousy service). Thanks Stan and Susan for another great weekend. We visited the Hampton Terrace in early November 2008. We found it to be charming, cozy, and quaint. Loved the Fireplace in the room, we are from Florida, so it kept us quite cozy in the evenings! Out hosts were wonderful, and we would not hesitate to visit again. Thanks you for making our weekend so memorable. more

We visited the Hampton Terrace at the suggestion of a friend who had visited the area frequently. This was our first experience at a B&B and we weren't dissapointed. The owners were very accomodating and friendly. We felt very comfortable and loved the large comfy bed and fireplace in our room! We stayed for two days and had wonderful homecooked... more

Hampton Terrace is a lovely old property with very spacious, well-decorated rooms. All the amenities they list (Jacuzzi, fireplace, $30 "romance package" credit to a local wine shop) are fabulous and really add to the experience. The owners were friendly without being overbearing, the location was excellent, and the breakfasts were lovely. However, I tend to agree with some reviews... more

My girlfriend and I checked into the Hampton Terrace last weekend and were looking forward to a romantic weekend away from the noise and crowds of New York City. We selected the Hampton Terrace because of its high rating here on Trip Advisor and we were not blown away. The owners were certainly nice enough and the property was incredibly... more

We're disappointed that this couple did not let us know there were privacy issues in the carriage house that weekend. We always try to do what we can to fix problems. We were filled and everyone booked independently ....but what we did not know until check-in, was that many of our rooms were taken by couples attending a wedding down...

Our 4 night stay at Hampton Terrace was terrific. Great hospitality, charming accommodations. I am sure we will be back. The breakfast experience was very gracious, and the grits were my personal highlight. Husband Dave loved the guest room fireplace and enjoyed studying architectural features of the property. Wonderful visit, wonderful memories. Thank you!!! Diane McCann Monroe, CT more
