This hotel is in a classic building in the financial center of Bogota. I normally stay at this hotel's sister property, the Charleston, where I've become accustomed to excellent, very personalized service. The Casa Medina offers a much colder and less inspired service to its guests. Hotel employees walk by you without greeting, the front desk staff hardly smiles, and the security guy in the front door looks at you like an intruder whenever you come in. The hotel is in a pretty busy corner so it is likely your room will get some street noise unless it faces the courtyard. The rooms are good but don't have A/C, so on a hot day you might have to open the windows, letting the pollution and noise in. On the positive side, there are many good restaurants within walking distance and the location is very convenient for business travellers.
